[It takes a few tries, but Korra finally manages to press the call button and leave Edna a message. She sounds really embarrassed.]
Uh, this is Korra. We...didn't exactly get each other's names. [She clears her throat, and then the words come pouring out in a flood.] Listen, I'm really, really sorry about the way I was acting in the library the other day.
Don't we all. I'm sure your dignity can survive the terribly powerful blow to it.
[The last part also said completely deadpan. She straightens up a little, even though she knows Korra won't see her. Body-messing is pretty bad, but sometimes head-messing is even worse.]
Have there been attacks before?
[She asks, genuinely curious. For the sake of making more concrete plans with defined goals, she needs more information about the situation here.]
The glitches are really random. They've all been different, from what I know. The ones I've dealt with messed around with people's senses. You feel tired, or you can't see something, even if it's in front of you, or you can't warm yourself up no matter what you do. Stuff like that.
[A pause now.]
I--I've heard there's been some bad ones, though. I wasn't here for them. I think one time, a bunch of monsters showed up and killed people while they were trapped in some part of the Shopping District. Then after a few days, they all just disappeared and everything was fine again.
CERES doesn't really bother giving us explanations whenever something like that happens.
(ooc: I'm so sorry about this late tag. If you want, we can handwave the rest of it and start something else?)
( ooc: Sure we can handwave this! Do you have a toplevel on the current event I can tag you on, or should we plot after it's over? (I'm sitting out on topleveling for this one.) IC inboxes are always a thing too. :> )

Most of the time we just get weird glitches.
